1.1 Scan for Unneeded Files

Clicking it brings up the Unneeded Files tab and searches for all those unneeded files in your computer that you specify. Zero Length files are automatically searched and displayed. Alternatively, you can go to the Unneeded Files tab and click the Find Files button on the toolbar.

1.2 Scan for Recent Files

To look for the Recent Files that you have been through click this option or click the Find Files icon on the toolbar in the Recent Files tab.

1.3 Scan for IE Favorites

Click this option to get all your IE favotirtes. You can also choose to see them by hitting the Find Files icon on the toolbar in the IE Favorites tab.

1.4 Scan for IE Cache Files

Choosing this option brings up the Browser Cache tab and displays all IE Cache files including cookies, URL history and Temporary Internet Files. You can also perform the same action by clicking the Find Files tab in the Browser Cache tab.

All

Displays all IE Cache files including cookies, URL history and Temporary Internet Files

URL History

Displays the URL History only

Cookies

Displays cookie files only

Temporary Files

Displays Temporary Internet Files only

1.5 Scan for Dead Shortcuts

You can find all the dead shortcuts in your computer by clicking this option. Find Files button on the toolbar in the Dead Shortcuts tab can also be hit to perform this action.

1.6 Options

1.6.1 File Types

Here you can specify the types of files that you want eliminated from your system. You can mark/unmark file types for search. While scanning for Unneeded Files, all those files are displayed that have extension similar to one that is displayed in the list box and marked.

Add

Adds a new file type, displays it in the list box and marks is for search

Remove

Removes selected file type from the list box

Check All

Marks all file types that are in the list box for search

Reset List

Resets the list of file types in the list box to the default list

1.6.2 Scan Drives

The list box displays all the fixed drives in your system. You can choose the drives which you want scanned for unneeded files and dead shortcuts.

Selects all the drives for scan
